A Message from a Client Who Benefited from Counseling Sessions Provided by Cancer Support Services

Give thanks unto the Lord for His mercies endureth forever. Yes, I really have cause to give thanks for life and for the place which I have come to physically, mentally and spiritually. I want to especially give thanks to Cancer Support Services for giving me a chance to see my life’s journey through the help of many weeks of counseling sessions with Pastor Paul Leacock.

Prior to my counseling my mind and thoughts were very unsettled. I was just going through the motions. Pastor sat with me and he took me on a journey through every aspect of my life, some good, some sad, some angry and also, frustration came into play often.

We also entered into a spiritual journey. I felt awesome being able to express what I felt inside and couldn’t let out for so many years. Just having someone to listen and help put things into the right perspective, felt like weight was just lifted from my shoulders. Crossing those paths in which I did and especially coming to the realization that God, never left my side, was so comforting.

As we young people would say sometimes, I was just a ‘hot mess’ on the inside, but now I am at that place where I am comfortable in mind, heart, body and soul. It has been a blessing being able to bring out what I never thought I had in me.

Thank you Cancer Support Services and Pastor Leacock for giving me a sigh of relief and the smoother path on which I now travel.
